The specialised sports goods chain Decathlon has signed an international contract with Nedap for EAS systems and EASi/Net management services. This contract defines a common framework (systems and identical services) for all the 25 countries where Decathlon is now present or plans to be.

Nedap, who have already been working for several years with Decathlon, will provide customer-counting integrated in the EAS antennas, and will analyse the quality of the of the security tags applied in source-tagging, while those tags are deactivated at the POS. Connectivity makes it possible to collect data remotely from all the stores and to calculate and compare key information of all the stores in the chain. "This way Decathlon has an instrument panel containing only the most relevant information on the quality and quantity of tags applied at source, whether procedures in the stores are fulfilled and on the use of the systems" states Nedap, the leading European manufacturer of EAS systems.
